“Today I celebrate my father that turned 70 years old on 12/08/2017. Baba you are some thing else. Always thinking of others. You are a man to be reckon with. An honest and humble man. Today I will celebrate you and your achievements. Many may not know this about you but we are here to be your voice. You struggled as a young man to Be where you are today. You started indimi enterprise from the bottom and worked your way to m&w pump. Then Oriental came along, you’d think oil block and you are rich. Well it doesn’t work that way. You put everything that you have in it and invested so much in it and Allah blessed you for it.You did it all on your own.even before Oriental, back then you always gave us the best of everything. You put us first and your people first. You gave out so much in charity and zakat, gave out scholarships to thousands of students and yes you helped out with the less privilege and I believe that is what made you the man that you are today. I love you for everything that you have done for us. Happy birthday Baba. We celebrate the best grand dad everπŸŽŠπŸŽ‰πŸŽπŸŽˆ#baba.

ASUU To Commence Strike Today (Read Full Details)

ACADEMIC Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, will today take a final decision on whether it will proceed on strike over unresolved issues with the Federal Government or not.
Unconfirmed report had it that the union met yesterday at an undisclosed venue to take decision on the looming strike. But when Vanguard sought confirmation of the meeting from the National President of the union, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi last night, he simply invited our Correspondent to attend a press briefing at Labour House today.

But information had it that Chairmen of state chapters of the union met in Abuja, with the national leadership where they collated and reviewed the results of the referendum they conducted in their separate chapters. The chairmen whom majority of them had approved a nationwide strike, deliberated alongside the National Executive Council, NEC the duration the strike would last.
Recall that the NEC had met at the Nasarawa State University, Keffi on the 22nd and 23rd July, 2017, and deliberated extensively on issues arising from the 2009 ASUU/FGN agreement, the 2013 MoU and other related issues and decided to conduct a referendum at the branch congresses on the next line of action.
According to a letter signed by the union’s National President Prof. Ogunyemi, the issues at stake included payment of fractions/non-payment of salaries; non-payment of earned academic allowances, non-release of operational licence of NUPENCO, retired professors and their salaries, university staff schools, and funds for the revitalisation of public universities.

When I Finally Get Married, I Must Remain In It Because There Are Wolves Out There Waiting To Devour The Union - Actress, Anita Joseph

Nollywood actress, Anita Joseph said she is not in a rush to get married to avoid making same mistakes as some of her colleagues.

Speaking to Daily Sun,  the Anambra-born actress opened up about marriage, motherhood and her butts which men find irresistible.
“Marriage comes when it comes. I’m not bothered about it. If my boyfriend shoots well and I get pregnant, then that’s fine. Marriage crashes are everywhere but that doesn’t really bother or worry me. In fact, it makes me stronger and challenged. It reminds me that when I finally get married, I must remain in it because there are wolves out there waiting to devour the union,” she said.
Describing the kind of man she likes, Anita maintains that he must posses a charming sense of humour, along other qualities.
“My kind of man must be spirit filled. He must fear Jehovah God. There’s nothing more attractive to me than a man that loves God. He must also make me laugh a lot; charming good sense of humour. My husband must be a power dresser, smells nice. I don’t like loud men. I don’t like a man that picks or blows their nose anyhow, especially in the public.
“I love a man that I can fart in his presence and he will tell me ‘well done princess’. He can fart in my presence too, no problem. I don’t do cinemas; I prefer to stay indoors with my man. After all, I have television at home; all I have to do is to buy popcorn and Fanta, then off the light and enjoy the moment with my man,” she gushed.
Recalling her unforgettable moment as a celebrity, the outspoken movie star said:
“Hmmm… it was when some guys tapped my bum. I guess they found my butts irresistible. I can’t forget that day. I wanted to remove my heels and pursue them, but the actress in me held me back. If not, they would have seen the other side of me.”

How Patient Struggles For Life After Oxygen Finishes At Benue State Teaching Hospital (Photos)

A Facebook user, Ukan Kurugh shares this post of a man battling to stay alive as Oxygen finishes at Benue State Teaching hospital. Check his post below...

THIS IS WHAT WE FACE AT THE BENUE STATE UNIVERSITY TEACHING HOSPITAL.
This is Terdoo Shiejir a staff of Benue State Teaching Service Board on admission in the Accident And Emergency (A&E) ward of the Benue State University Teaching Hospital.
He is badly in need of oxygen right now but since yesterday the one he was on (oxygen) finished, the hospital authority said they have ran out of oxygen and their supplier in Abuja has not brought in new supplies. The family asked where they can get oxygen to buy for him,but they were rather told its from Abuja only and can't be gotten in town here. As you can see from the pictures, there is a fan blowing him. These are the type of services we get in Nigeria hospitals but funny enough nobody will be held or queried even. Why can't we have an oxygen bank in a state like Benue? We need to do more to save lives in our hospitals else more people will die from simple solutions.
