SENATOR GODWILL AKPABIO VISITS THOSE INJURED FROM THE REIGNERS CHURCH COLLAPSED BUILDING AT THE HOSPITAL (PHOTOS)

 Former Akwa Ibom State Governor, Senator Godswill Akpabio, yesterday visited those injured after a church collapse, at the Ibom International Specialist Hospital.

  Over twenty people were killed and many injured when the roof of Reigners Bible Church International collapsed during the Archbishopric ordination of its founder.


The state governor, Udom Emmanuel, who attended the service as a special guest of honour with other top government officials, narrowly escaped death while some of his aides sustained injuries.

He said  "I was impressed by the efforts of the medical personnel at the hospital. I pray for the quick recovery of the sick and injured. See more photos below:

Nollywood actress Ini Edo would have been at Reigners Bible Church when its roof collapsed killing dozens of people but for cancelled flight and traffic gridlock, the Special Assistant on Tourism to Akwa Ibom State Governor took to Instagram to narrate how she escaped death and to condole with families who lost their loved ones in the tragic incident. "2 days ago,I was very bitter about the unreliable nature of some of our airlines cancelling flights without prior notice thereby hindering my plans to attend a church service ceremony held in uyo.Now out of determination, I took a flight to calabar with the hope of being in uyo just in time for the service since the journey between calabar and uyo was just about an hour. 

The journey ended up taking over 7hrs because of an unexplainable traffic.No accident, good road no hitches just a headlock traffic. Whilst in the car, I started wondering why all my efforts to be at the service was being thwarted... then I got a call, that the entire church building had collapsed during the course of the service .... Once again, God had saved me. 

My heart goes out to the families of the departed..may the good Lord grant them the heart to bear the loss. Everyday we see is a blessing..it's not because we are special or better. 

It's the exceeding Grace of our Lord Jesus.Iam so humbled and grateful to God for preserving me... Happy thanksgiving....."

NOTORIOUS ARMED ROBBER CAUGHT WHILE TRYING TO RAPE A MARRIED WOMAN AFTER ROBBING HER IN ENUGU

Residents of an Enugu community can finally breathe a sigh of relief and sleep with their two eyes closed after a deadly robber was recently apprehended.

The notorious armed robber who has caused quite a scare has been finally apprehended by residents. The robber was said to have been caught while he was operating.

“This armed robber was caught red handed in trans-ekulu in Enugu. He was about raping a married woman after robbing her and her neighbours. This same man robbed my family. R*ped a family member and now his family are trying to get him released because they have power. He is currently cooling off at trans-ekulu police station.

“This armed robber Ugochukwu Agu was caught red handed in trans-ekulu in Enugu state trying to r*pe a married woman after robbing her. She was able to hold onto him as he battered her till people came to help at about 4:30am on the 9th of December.

“This same guy has robbed over 40 homes in the area. He normally carries a pump action and has a dark male accomplice who escaped. Some witnesses in the neighbourhood reported seeing a dark short male running at about 4:30am in the morning in the same area Ugochukwu was caught,
“He was caught with his Toyota Camry with the car filled wit his victims valuables. His family members are trying so hard to get him released. Please spread the news. Over 50 people have identified him, he has r*ped many women in the area some were r*ped in front of their husbands at gun point.

His full name is Ugochukwu Onugo Agu. He married last week.”

CHIKA IKE SPEAKS ON REASONS HER MARRIAGE FAILED

 

Chika Ike has opened up on her failed marriage . In an interview with The Nation, when asked if getting married at a young age had anything to do with the way it ended three years ago, she said
I think it has to do with so many reasons; one of them might be being young. Some people get married that young and have been able to make their marriages work. But if you’re young, you’re young.

There are some things you’ve not experienced. You might not be able to stay calm when you’re supposed to stay calm, understand when you’re supposed to understand or leave what you’re supposed to leave.

 “I think it has to do with age and so many other things like compatibility and not being true to yourself in the marriage. Everybody has a limit. There are some things in marriage that you might not be able to stand. Some people’s limit might not be my limit; my limit might be somebody’s starting point.”

On rumours she is planning to walk down the aisle again,she said
Marriage is a beautiful institution. I will never talk down on marriage because it’s something I still look forward to. It’s what every woman hopes for. Though I’m focused on my career right now, I do have a very special person in my life.
