OJB Calls Out D'banj In New Interview, Says Celebs Used His Fund Raiser As Competition

"The most disappointing one for me is D'banj because he passed through my hands, he was trained under my tutelage. That is offensive. I don't care if you're with Kanye West, you can't forget your root. I won't call anybody else's name but I will call his because it hurts. His own hurts very deep. And he never tried to reach out to me. It's not like we parted on fighting terms.  He told me he had to go to London and he went. And when he came back it was Don Jazzy, and I said OK, that's fine. And what he did worked and I'm very proud of him, the love I had for him, that's why it hurts more. He should have come out to say no, I don't know why you people are saying all this, I didn't give OJB N7million, maybe a part of him felt embarrassed because at the end of the day, really, are you not supposed to do something?" OJB says during the interview
He also talked about how people used his fund raiser as competition and once again addresses the bounced cheques. Continue....

"When P-Square gave me N5million cheque, everybody started treating it as a competition. They were like, they brought N5m, I want to show that I can do more, or equal it. So they will come to my house, some will drop N2m, N1m, you say thank you, they take pictures and go away. Then you drop the cheque in your account and you see that almost N4/5million is being returned back to you that it didn't clear. You call them and tell them and they tell you they are coming but they haven't picked the cheques till now.
"The shocking ones are not even the bounced cheques. It's the ones that when they are coming to meet you in the house to give you money, they come with a whole camera crew. Then they will say I'm donating one million naira to you and the cameras start recording and maybe the guy's tape stops, and he says let's take that again (Laughs).
"There were people in my dialysis that I gave N100k each to pay for their dialysis, we didn't publicize it, we didn't take photos with them, because I felt that was unnecessary."

"My Husband Didn’t Ban Me From Acting...I am not sick" - Mosun Filani Says in new interview

Mosun Filani

Famous Yoruba actress, Mosun Filani has rubbished a report by a blog, a couple of weeks back, that she has passed on. She added that it was the handiwork of her detractors.
Speaking with Encomium magazine, she said “That’s strange o! How can anybody say I am dead when I am still alive? It’s a wicked rumour, and I believe it emanated from enemies of progress. I am not even sick, let alone dying. The rumour is weighty, and it can never be my portion in Jesus name. I believe you can recognize my voice that I am the one speaking with you. That alone shows that it’s a fake and useless rumour. I am alive, hale and hearty, enjoying my marriage. I will advise those behind it to spend their valuable time on something meaningful”
Asked to shed light on another tale that her husband, Kayode Oduoye, has banned her from acting, the talented film maker said

Mosun-Kayode-and-Daughter

“That’s not true. My husband never banned me from acting. The truth is that after my marriage, I decided to take things easy and concentrate on my home front rather than career. Work is there forever, I can continue at any time I like. My husband doesn’t disturb my career. Our marriage has also been blessed with a baby girl, Oluwashemilore. She was just one year old in November this year. Everything concerning my marriage has to be given special attention before any other thing. But very soon, I will stage a big come back. I am still very much in the industry”

Actress and daughter of veteran actor Jide Kosoko, Adesola Kosoko-Abino in a recent interview with Tribune, talked about her life, career and marriage.
She got married to the love of her life last year!

On her marital life, the 32-year-old actress said, “Beautiful! I’m enjoying it. I don’t ever… Let me emphasise it: I don’t ever, ever want to leave my marriage for anything. That simply means that if anything wants to come between my marriage and me, I would fight with the last drop of my blood. However, “man proposes God disposes.” Everybody wants the best, but sometimes, life could turn out badly for some. I pray that God preserves my marriage.”
And then she narrated her beautiful love story....
"I met my prince charming a long time ago. We didn’t start anything. He asked me out and I rejected him. My reason was that I wanted to gain admission before anything else. I met him when he was writing his final examination in the university. That was way back in December 1999.

He went to the Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH). I told him if he was really interested in me, he would think of how I would get admission into the university, like he did. And I was very poor, like most of us, in Mathematics. So, he would teach me Mathematics. I was always failing mathematics. And you cannot get admission into higher institution without passing Mathematics and English, at least at credit levels. He taught me Mathematics until I passed it finally.

Did he also teach you mathematics in the bedroom?
Which bedroom? We were not even dating. Can someone teach you mathematics in the bedroom [laughs]? He really supported me during my tender and ignorant days. Sometimes I would be very discouraged and depressed about my inability to learn maths. He would encourage me. He encouraged me to have a diploma, after which I got a transfer to study Sociology in the university.

On her take on failed marriages in Nollywood, she said, “Well, like I said earlier, I don’t pray that my marriage should fail; but man proposes, God disposes. It might be my wish to have a car, while God intends for me to have a jet, and vice versa. What I am saying is that God knows best. I don’t want to believe that any married woman wishes that her marriage should fail; neither would any man marry with the intention of dissolving his marriage.

"I'm Not Ready For Marriage' - Flavour

In a new interview with Vanguard, highlife artist Flavour said he's single and not thinking of marriage

People will always talk and turn around stories. But I am still single because marriage is not my priority for now. I  still want to hit the top before thinking about marriage. It’s not yet time. I am still concentrating on my music.

Flavour also explains how he manages to stays away from controversy/scandal
I try to stay away from trouble. For instance, I don’t even  go to clubs. Any time I want to do something, I do it in the comfort of my house. I party inside my house. I do my  recording inside my house. When you start mingling and partying with everybody in different places that is where one or two things would start to emerge.
I’m either here in my house or in my second house on the Island. When you mingle much with people, at times you start trusting people that are not supposed to be trusted. You start having divided attention. You would take a picture and make joke with it and tomorrow it’s all over the newspapers and internet.

My wife’s family is not rich let alone my wife. I got married to somebody I wanted to get married to and not because of her wealth. I don’t know why people say all they say."
“I wonder how anybody would say my marriage was secret. Some people went ahead to say that my brother (Kunle) was not at the wedding but he was there. Anyway, I am not ready for them. When I am ready, I will let you know,” he said.
