I Was Begged To Return To Acting - Emeka Ike Brags

 

Veteran actor, Emeka Ike has recently returned to the big screen after taking a long break,  he revealed that he was actually begged by some concerned industry operators!

Explaining why he returned to acting, in a telephone chat with HVP, the actor said the producer has been on his neck  for two years  now after which he decided to oblige him his request.

“ He has been begging me to star in his film for two years now. At a point, I decided to oblige him his request,” he said.

Lassa Fever Outbreak: Ogun State Confirms 66 Persons Quarantined

The Ogun State Commissioner for Health, Babatunde Ipaye has confirmed the outbreak of Lassa fever saying a 20-year-old patient tested positive for the virus and has been moved to one of the isolation centres set up by the state government.

Ipaye also said 66 persons who had contact with the victim have been put under observation as he called on residents to remain calm and assured them of adequate response surveillance in the case of another outbreak.

The commissioner challenged residents to always maintain good environmental and personal hygiene to contain the spread of the fever.

Radio Personality Tosin Bucknor's Father, Segun Bucknor Dies At 71

Legendary Nigerian musician, Segun Bucknor has died at the age of 71. Late Segun was the father of popular OAP, Tosyn Bucknor and events manager, Funke Bucknor.

He was one of the pioneers of the early Nigerian music sound, learning the art from the legendary Roy Chicago of the highlife fame. In the 60’s and 70’s, he led a highlife/afrobeat band called the Hot Four and later renamed as Segun Bucknor and the Soul Assembly to make iconic records like Lord Give Me Soul and I’ll Love You Anyhow....

IMSU Student Faints After Lecturer Flogs Her With Belt During Exams (Photos)

 

A 300 level Imo State University student of Nutrition and dietectics reportedly fainted after she was flogged by a lecturer who has been identified as Prof Egbe Richard from the faculty of social science.
