Gunmen Kidnapped Couple On Their Wedding Day In Ondo State

 

Suspected kidnappers at gunpoint abducted Moses Yakubu and his wife on Sunday morning in Akunnu Akoko, Akoko North East Local Government Area of Ondo state.

It was gathered that the couple who were heading to Akure, Ondo state capital, from Okene, Kogi state, for their wedding ceremony, were kidnapped with some family members, including the best man and chief brides maid.

According to sources, the couple were stopped by the kidnappers in Akunnu, ordering them out of the car at gunpoint and dragged the couple and some of their friends away into the forest.

The father of the bride, Mr Ahmed Amodu, who confirmed the incident,  said the armed men took away the couple, but said the bride and her sister have been set free by the kidnappers few hours after their abduction.

He however said the groom and four others including two males and two females are still in the custody of the gunmen, saying there was no contact about their where about and no ransom demanded.

Confirming the kidnap, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Femi Joseph, said the command has swung into action to rescue the five victims from the kidnappers.

Joseph said detectives from the command have been combing the area and the forest in Akunnu to rescue the victims, assuring that the victims will be rescued unhurt, while the kidnappers will not go unpunished.

Late Legend Adebayo Faleti Laid To Rest In Oyo State (Photos)

Adebayo Faleti, Africa's first newscaster, Africa's first stage play Director and Africa's first film editor, who died on July 23rd 2017 at the age of 95, has been laid to rest. He was buried in his Village in Agboye, Oyo State, on Friday September 8th.

His funeral was attended by many dignitaries including Governor of Oyo state Ajimobi, traditional leaders, and practitioners in the movie industry.

Actress Toyin Abraham was backlashed by her fans after sharing this revealing photo on her Instagram page last night.

The sheer chiffon dress had left little to the imagination especially in the breast region. Apparently, the style and design of the dress has no room for brassieres, which made her leave her boobs loose in the animal print dress.
Toyin Abraham had to quickly appeal to her angry fans that although she was wearing the dress, there was no way she would have stepped out in it.
